TouchRetouch Free

Yay! My second blog post since the new year! Hi! I can't wait to tell you about this app that I found in the AppStore. Like most of the apps that I have blogged about, this app is free, so better stay and read. By the way, if you are a Android user, and you are reading this thinking like, "Too bad it's not for Droids." Well, good news. The app is also available in Play Store, so sit back relax, and read on.

This application is called TouchRetouch. This app allows you to erase certain objects from your image that distracts the focus of the picture. For example, you have a picture your, let's say, daughter or cousin, but at the back is a plastic bag flying in the middle of no way, such a killer, huh, but with TouchRetouch, you can remove it in just a few swipes and clicks.

The app allows you to import an image or take one using the app's camera.

Here is a screenshot of the TouchRetouch's interface. My sister's picture is perfect, well almost, if it wasn't for my dad standing at the back, but again because I have this app, I can erase my dad from the image.

You will just have to select the object that you would want to erase by using either the lasso or paintbrush. By doing so, you are selecting the object that will turn invisible. Then click the start button (the triangle button at the bottom). It will automatically process the image.

The result is very amazing:

Presto! My dad is gone!

While you can do that, you can also do it manually by cloning the background to the part that you'd like to erase, which is harder compared to selecting and pressing go, but if you have the time and patience, it would probably look better.

After that, you can save the picture, but the app will add a watermark right in the middle of the image, which we wouldn't like to see, so I would advice to just take a screenshot of the image. But if you really insist on saving it, you can buy the full version too.

Here are some remarks from people on iTunes about the app:

  • Awesome by iPhone App Reviews - ★★★★ The app works great for me!
  • Couldn't live without by k. bai ★★★★★ I couldn't live without this app! I use it for almost EVERY photo to correct problem areas or to hide blemishes. Sooo worth every penny!
(Reviews came from the paid version)

Here are remarks from me:

  • Awesome
  • Easy
  • Results are amazing
  • Convenient
  • User-friendly
  • A must
  • FREE
  • doesn't require WiFi, so it is usable anywhere literally
  • free version adds watermark though
  • FOUR STARS on saving
  • FIVE STARS on result
Here is another picture (before and after) that I have edited using the app:

First Post In 2013: Sketch Guru

Hello! This is my first blog post for this year 2013. I promise you guys that this year will be more than just cool apps, but also amazing and hopefully productive apps. Okay, so let's get started.

Today's app is called Sketch Guru. As all of you guys known, sketch apps in the AppStore and in PlayStore are very ugly by means of effects, but personally I love this app because it is the only app I have seen by far that has the best sketch effects. Not only does it make great sketch effects, but also watercolor, crayon, chalk, and other effects too.

Sketch Guru allows you to pick either if you want to choose a photo from your gallery or take a photo with app to use as a photo for the app's effects, which I think is needless to say, but probably something that people might want to know before they'd like to download it.

The app also has a cropping tool, so you could crop your picture to the size you want and the portion you want only.

The application has got a selection of effects that you can use. Personally I'd like to recommend using the Gouache effect and the Watercolor effect. These effects give for than you thought they would. If you don't understand what I just said, why not try it out for yourself and see the difference of the effects of an ordinary sketch apps from the effects of Sketch Guru. I am sure you will find them totally different.

What else is good about the app? It is totally free. With ads at the top of the app's interface, the creators had enough money to make it free forever. Unless ads disturb you, I guess this will be fine. One thing that is also good about it is that it is also available on the PlayStore by Google. My sister owns an Android, and apparently she has the app too.

One more thing about this app is that it allows you to save pictures in many sizes.

If you don't believe me that this app is so awesome, then take the people's word for it:
  • Conductor by Mellowj83  Great app
  • Amazing!!! by ipad6  Love it
  • Awesome! N4ndinh0  I am giving a 4 star rate because I think it needs more filters, but it's still a pretty awesome app! Would recommend.
Remarks from me:
  • Cool
  • User-friendly
  • Slow in processing the effects though, but I guess in order to get what you want, you have got to suffer some how, right?
  • FREE
  • beautiful effects
  • 5 stars
Here are some of the pictures that I have made by using this app alone:

Are the pictures just lovely? The effects not only add texture, but also adds colors. If you'd like to download this, here is its iTunes. By the way, if you are using your iDevice, this link will redirect you to the App Store.

I am not really sure if you are using your mobile Android, you will be redirected to the Play Store when you click the link, but here is the link to its Play Store.

Yap! That was my first post for this year 2013, and I hope you enjoyed reading it. If you found this post helpful, share it on Facebook, and if you found it cool, fun, artistic, or in any way interesting, tweet about it, so your friends will know about this too. I would love it if you would comment anything, may it be bad or good ones or just suggestions. Thank you, and happy new year!
