faceLIGHT

Hello vain and not vain friends! I know we all have those moments when we wish to have a flash on the front camera for those times we takes selfies or groupies in a low light room. Well say goodbye to ugly dark photos, and say hello to bright and illuminated photos. This app I am blogging about is just the thing to solve our problem.
logo of faceLIGHT
faceLIGHT is a free application on the Google PlayStore that allows you to softly illuminate your front camera's view by making the screen white. The app makes the preview of your camera smaller, so that the white screen will be bigger and will be able to light your face better.
interface
If your phone is in the lowest brightness settings, it is alright. The app itself adjusts the brightness to make the screen brighter for you. It automatically lowers the brightness after using the app.

The application does not only support picture taking, but also video recording.

It also has the option on changing the background color from pure white to incandescent, halogen, clear, and etc.

I have been searching for an app that can do this, and well now that I have, I am so happy that I just had to share this to you all! Whether you are vain or just trying to capture the moments with your friends, this app is really a great one when it comes to dark rooms.

This is the link to its PlayStore: faceLIGHT

BY THE WAY, please check out my Instagram account @dustdevilme. I have some pretty good photos over there that are not selfies and what not. This account is my personal, but I don't post pictures of myself because I feel like it. I do edits and take pictures of sceneries and stuff like that. Please give my pictures a like, a comment, and please do follow me. THANKS!

Phoneography Apps

I love taking photos with my camera, but most of the times, I experience something amazing and the only thing I have is my phone. (An Android) Usually the pictures would looked faded, not contrasted, very unsaturated, and you know just not star worthy yet. These are the apps I use to edit my pictures.

BY THE WAY, CHECK OUT MY INSTAGRAM FOR ME. Like my pictures if you like them. Follow me as you wish too. Thank you:

My latest instagram photos.

Anyway, let's begin.

The first app is Color Splash FX. This application is available free on the Play Store, but sorry to say it is not available to Apple users. Color Splash FX turns your picture black and white. Then it's your turn to decide on which parts to color. This app enables you to create a dramatic black and white effect with the subject of the photogragh colored. The app also allows color renderings.

The second app is called AfterFocus. This app is available on the Play Store and on the Appstore. This app is free on Google Play, but is a payed app on the Appstore. Though the reason why it is free for Android is because their is a limit on how big of a file you can save your pictures, but don't worry it won't change the fact that this application, payed or not, is a must to download. This application allows you to give focus on your subject and blur out the rest. You can also adjust how must blur you like. This is not like tilt shift that its is just a circle or what. You color on your subject or mask the subject. Then let the app blur it for you. It may seem hard to mask, but it is not. I find masking the subject more accurate than coloring over it. AfterFocus also provides a selection of filters that you can use to improve your photograph.

filters
The third app is called PicsArt- Photo Studio. This app is available on both the Play Store and the Appstore. Both FREE. This app is probably one of THE BEST that has ever happened to phoneography. This app allows you to crop, put filters, saturate your picture, place bokeh, and other cool stuff.

The fourth and the last app is called Photo Editor. Okay, when you are an Android user, your phone will have a Photo editor that comes with the phone itself. This is not it. I really think this is the best photo editor I have ever used in my whole life. It allows you to crop, edit it, saturate it, adjust the hue, adjust the contrast, adjust the brightness, and you can even add an image unto your picture and blend it. Clone. Add words too. There are so many things you can do with this app. You can also save a png file with it. You will just have to try it out for yourself.

eDJing, Homies!

Yeah! What's up, homies! I got another app for you Apple users and Android users. If you are a person who loves mashups and is just dying to make one, this is the right app for you.

The app is called eDJing. The app provides two turntables, effects, and other stuffs that will be able to make you the awesome DJ that you are inside. Best of all, this app is free and very easy to use. You just have to get used to it.

You can save your work. Although I haven't seen any button that allows you transfer your mixes to your phone. The producers said you can share your mixes through social media sites, but I am not sure it works for some Android users. Anyway, other than that, the app is pretty cool. I have made four mashups so far. Some of them are not so fantastic, but that is just because I am not yet a master of mixing songs, but the app has been a lot of fun.

There is this button in the application called "sync". The button, when activated, matches the beats of the two songs together.

(For Android users only) The app also doesn't shut down when you click the home button. It just sleeps. In order to close it, you have to press the back button and there will be something that will pop out asking if you'd like to shut the app down. Click yes then it'll shut down.

As long as you know the chord progressions, I think you will have a good time using the app. So far, this app is the only app that I use often, except Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Instagram (only because they are social media apps).

This app is truly a must to download for Pro-DJ's or Amateur DJ's. The link to its Playstore and its iTunes is down below this:

Cocoppa

Hello! I know a lot of you have been so bummed that Apple products don't have themes, unless you use Cydia, which is only available when your device is jailbroken. Unless you are a person who doesn't care about his or her product being jailbroken, this app is a great one to set up themes like these. (Screenshots of my homescreen):

Cocoppa allows you to make your own icon for websites, contacts, apps, and etcetera. You can also choose wallpapers. The app really brings out the creaativiity in every Apple user. Best of all? NO JAILBREAKING REQUIRED. The steps on making them are very simple.

Just download the app. Set up an account by email or use your Facebook or Twitter account to log in. Look for a cute icon. Then set up the link or the app that it will redirect to.

Too bad that this app does not really replace the actual app itself. It just makes a shortcut to the app, so if you delete the original app, the icon that you have set up will not function anymore. The original app must be present in the device.

BUT WHO CARES, RIGHT? The app is wonderful!

There is so much too explore in Cocoppa. I really encourage you guys to go ahead and try it out. One more thing... It is free, so yah, you can get new icons and new wallpapers for absolutely free.

Here is the link to its iTunes

Thanks for reading today's post. I hope you enjoyed it. If you found it helpful, please share this post on Facebook, and if found it cool, tweet about it on Twitter. Bye!

TouchRetouch Free

Yay! My second blog post since the new year! Hi! I can't wait to tell you about this app that I found in the AppStore. Like most of the apps that I have blogged about, this app is free, so better stay and read. By the way, if you are a Android user, and you are reading this thinking like, "Too bad it's not for Droids." Well, good news. The app is also available in Play Store, so sit back relax, and read on.

This application is called TouchRetouch. This app allows you to erase certain objects from your image that distracts the focus of the picture. For example, you have a picture your, let's say, daughter or cousin, but at the back is a plastic bag flying in the middle of no way, such a killer, huh, but with TouchRetouch, you can remove it in just a few swipes and clicks.

The app allows you to import an image or take one using the app's camera.

Here is a screenshot of the TouchRetouch's interface. My sister's picture is perfect, well almost, if it wasn't for my dad standing at the back, but again because I have this app, I can erase my dad from the image.

You will just have to select the object that you would want to erase by using either the lasso or paintbrush. By doing so, you are selecting the object that will turn invisible. Then click the start button (the triangle button at the bottom). It will automatically process the image.

The result is very amazing:

Presto! My dad is gone!

While you can do that, you can also do it manually by cloning the background to the part that you'd like to erase, which is harder compared to selecting and pressing go, but if you have the time and patience, it would probably look better.

After that, you can save the picture, but the app will add a watermark right in the middle of the image, which we wouldn't like to see, so I would advice to just take a screenshot of the image. But if you really insist on saving it, you can buy the full version too.

Here are some remarks from people on iTunes about the app:

  • Awesome by iPhone App Reviews - ★★★★ The app works great for me!
  • Couldn't live without by k. bai ★★★★★ I couldn't live without this app! I use it for almost EVERY photo to correct problem areas or to hide blemishes. Sooo worth every penny!
(Reviews came from the paid version)

Here are remarks from me:

  • Awesome
  • Easy
  • Results are amazing
  • Convenient
  • User-friendly
  • A must
  • FREE
  • doesn't require WiFi, so it is usable anywhere literally
  • free version adds watermark though
  • FOUR STARS on saving
  • FIVE STARS on result
Here is another picture (before and after) that I have edited using the app:

AFTER (no chinese decors)

Yeah, that is it for today. You can download the app in iTunes, paid or free, in PlayStore, paid or free by clicking the link below.

First Post In 2013: Sketch Guru

Hello! This is my first blog post for this year 2013. I promise you guys that this year will be more than just cool apps, but also amazing and hopefully productive apps. Okay, so let's get started.

Today's app is called Sketch Guru. As all of you guys known, sketch apps in the AppStore and in PlayStore are very ugly by means of effects, but personally I love this app because it is the only app I have seen by far that has the best sketch effects. Not only does it make great sketch effects, but also watercolor, crayon, chalk, and other effects too.

Sketch Guru allows you to pick either if you want to choose a photo from your gallery or take a photo with app to use as a photo for the app's effects, which I think is needless to say, but probably something that people might want to know before they'd like to download it.

The app also has a cropping tool, so you could crop your picture to the size you want and the portion you want only.

The application has got a selection of effects that you can use. Personally I'd like to recommend using the Gouache effect and the Watercolor effect. These effects give for than you thought they would. If you don't understand what I just said, why not try it out for yourself and see the difference of the effects of an ordinary sketch apps from the effects of Sketch Guru. I am sure you will find them totally different.

What else is good about the app? It is totally free. With ads at the top of the app's interface, the creators had enough money to make it free forever. Unless ads disturb you, I guess this will be fine. One thing that is also good about it is that it is also available on the PlayStore by Google. My sister owns an Android, and apparently she has the app too.

One more thing about this app is that it allows you to save pictures in many sizes.

If you don't believe me that this app is so awesome, then take the people's word for it:
  • Conductor by Mellowj83  Great app
  • Amazing!!! by ipad6  Love it
  • Awesome! N4ndinh0  I am giving a 4 star rate because I think it needs more filters, but it's still a pretty awesome app! Would recommend.
Remarks from me:
  • Cool
  • User-friendly
  • Slow in processing the effects though, but I guess in order to get what you want, you have got to suffer some how, right?
  • FREE
  • beautiful effects
  • 5 stars
Here are some of the pictures that I have made by using this app alone:

Are the pictures just lovely? The effects not only add texture, but also adds colors. If you'd like to download this, here is its iTunes. By the way, if you are using your iDevice, this link will redirect you to the App Store.

I am not really sure if you are using your mobile Android, you will be redirected to the Play Store when you click the link, but here is the link to its Play Store.

Yap! That was my first post for this year 2013, and I hope you enjoyed reading it. If you found this post helpful, share it on Facebook, and if you found it cool, fun, artistic, or in any way interesting, tweet about it, so your friends will know about this too. I would love it if you would comment anything, may it be bad or good ones or just suggestions. Thank you, and happy new year!
